Banken, C. (2018). The American legal profession. CQ Press, dx.doi.org/10.4135/9781071800935 While emphasizing that lawyers perform an important but often misunderstood public function in society, The American Legal Profession: The Myths and Realities of Practicing Law dispels some of the most common misconceptions about the legal profession to show that the reality of being a lawyer is very different from what many students believe. Many students know little about what law school is or how it differs from undergraduate studies, and this book corrects common myths about law degree and life after the existence of the bar. This brief introduction is a practical analysis of what it`s really like to enter the legal profession from start to finish, and gives students considering a career in law a realistic overview of their potential legal career. “About this title” may belong to another edition of this title.
